Sustainable Development & Agricultural Innovation Leader
Nokwazi Moyo is a seasoned innovator and strategist with over 30 years’ experience in agricultural engineering, agro‑processing, renewable energy, and rural economic development across Africa. He has held senior leadership roles with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), where he managed multi‑million‑dollar projects in the water‑energy‑food nexus, waste‑to‑energy, and climate‑resilient agriculture. His career achievements include pioneering the formation and establishment of a Zimbabwe Commercial Farmers’ Union (ZCFU) as its founder CEO, and conceiving national waste‑to‑energy initiatives, pioneering regenerative agriculture programs, and establishing the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE).
Moyo has advised governments, multilateral agencies, and industry bodies on industrial policy, trade facilitation, and circular economy models, with a strong focus on sustainable commodities value chains. He has extensive board and committee experience, including with the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN) and the Southern African Biogas Industry Association (SABIA). His expertise in stakeholder engagement, risk management, and ESG integration positions him as a valuable non‑executive director, bringing both technical depth and governance insight to agricultural commodities trading enterprises.
